Omar Rudberg’s 2024 festival tour was a kind of “major turning point”: a succession of open-air stages, an ever-growing audience, a rawer and more contagious energy.

For fans, it felt a bit like witnessing a metamorphosis: the one we first knew as an actor (in Young Royals) or a boy-band member now reveals himself as a complete solo artist, confident, alive for music.

At Heide Park, in Germany, Omar steps on stage under a late sun, the attentive crowd opens up to him. The festival setting makes everything more spontaneous: no massive staging, but a raw, authentic moment. Some fans say they traveled for hours, slept little, just to be in front, and feel that unique connection.

Then, in Sweden, first in Kristianstad and then in Gothenburg, the atmosphere changes: the closeness, the local crowd, the feeling that “he is coming home.” There is a particular joy, a kind of quiet pride in Omar as he looks around and realizes how far he has come. He exchanges glances, laughs with his team, gives thanks in a mix of Swedish, English, and Spanish, because his Venezuelan roots are also present, noticeable in the rhythms, in the smiles.

For Omar, it was probably the opportunity to confirm that he can fill diverse stages, that his audience follows him wherever he goes, that his solo project has a strong future. And for us, members of his community, it was more than seeing him: it was living it.
